FRP Arts Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating string players. Currently, the institute is accepting students age 13-23 to form an orchestra. The orchestra will meet once per week on Monday from 7:00 - 9:30 PM at a Fort Collins church. Students must be enrolled in private lessons or their school orchestra to participate, and students must submit a placement audition. There is no fee to participate. Participation is open to students across the Front Range. Everyone is welcome!
Enrollment guidelines
You must be enrolled in private lessons or your school orchestra. You can certainly be involved in both.
You must be willing to work on the music with fidelity in order to do your part as a member of the orchestra.
You must attend all rehearsals and concerts. Of course, we will work with you on emergencies and unavoidable conflicts. Please keep in mind that with rehearsal only being once per week, every rehearsal is so important.
Rehearsals are on Monday with a few exceptions for holidays and school concerts.
Participation is open to students across the Front Range. Everyone is welcome!
